What Pixelreel is

Pixelreel is a client delivery platform built for wedding videographers and photographers. It lets studios create branded portals where couples can watch, download, and share their wedding films and photos.

This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights around it.

What data we collect

From studio accounts (videographers and photographers):

• Name, email address, and studio name at signup
• Billing information — processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number
• Studio branding settings (logo, colors, subdomain)
• Vendor library entries you create

From couple portals:

• Couple names, wedding date, location, and email address (entered by the studio)
• Portal activity — when the portal was viewed, how many times, and from what general location (city/region level only)
• Reviews submitted through the portal
• Guest Reel uploads (if enabled by the studio) — video files, optional messages, and upload timestamps

From website visitors:

• Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited)
• No advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts

How we use your data

• To operate the platform and deliver the services you signed up for
• To send transactional emails — delivery notifications to couples and vendors, billing receipts, account alerts
• To display portal activity and analytics to the studio that created the delivery
• To process payments through Stripe
• To respond to support requests

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not send marketing emails without your consent.

Third parties we work with

Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We do not share your data with any other third parties.

Vimeo and YouTube embeds on couple portals may load resources from their own domains, which are subject to their respective privacy policies.

How long we keep data

• Studio accounts: For as long as your account is active, plus 30 days after cancellation before permanent deletion
• Couple portals: For the duration of the portal access window (2 years on Studio plan, 5 years on Studio Pro), then deleted unless extended
• Guest Reel uploads: Stored for the duration of the portal access window, then deleted
• Billing records: Retained for 7 years as required by Canadian tax law

Cookies

Pixelreel uses only essential cookies required to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Your rights

You can:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Ask us to stop processing your data

To make any of these requests, email chad@pixelreel.io. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under GDPR. If you are located in California, you have additional rights under CCPA. We honour both.

Data security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and secure credential storage. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we take it seriously.

Children

Pixelreel is a professional business tool not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will notify studio account holders by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
